Soccer Season- Fall 2014

Another great season for all our soccer players! Madelyn, Kali and Zach were all three on super fun teams with amazing fun coaches and they had a blast this season!! Madelyn is super quick on her feet and managed to score probably half the teams points this season and did great at blocking some goals as goalie. She's got quite the little fire when she's out on that field.

Zach had another great season on the Earthquakes this year and they ended up being the 1st place team for boys U12. Coach Jordan is so fantastic with the boys and this year Zach got to have Justin on his team as well. It was such a great experience for all of the boys and they loved Justin and embraced him and his funny quirks and Justin played his little heart out on that field! Such a fun year!

I'm not sure why but for some reason I didn't get any pics of Kali and her games. Just this one above where she hurt her leg and coach carried her off the field. It was super cute. Coach Matt was awesome with his girls team G-Force and they played a tough season! It was fun for Kali to have Avery and Kelsey on the team as well. For one of the practices in October they got to dress up in costume and the girls couldn't wait to put on our Supermom outfits. They wore them proudly and made us mommas proud! Such a fun practice that night under the lights with costumes!

Halloween 2014

Love these adorable kiddos of mine. As much as I dislike this holiday I sure do love how much they get so excited to dress up and I love how cute they all are. Seriously wish they would stop growing up!!!! Lilly was of course one of the hundreds of Elsa's out there but she sure was the most adorable!!!

Folsom Blues Breakout Half-Marathon

October 18th- I ran the Folsom Blues Half Marathon with Kristin and our good friend Kierstin. It was a chilly startline near the Folsom prison with Johnny Cash music blasting getting everyone pumped up to start. It was fun to train and prepare for this race with my sister although I knew she would kick my butt in the end. The first few miles started out with a nice downhill and helped with time for me later in the race. The course went around the beautiful Lake Natoma and was beautiful but did get a little warm in some parts and had a few hills. I was able to stick to my pace for about the first 8 miles but started having IT pain and had to slow it down for the last 5 miles. It was tough! I did manage to PR though so I was happy about that! All three of us PR'd which was awesome. Fun times!

The heavens gained an angel.

On Sunday October 5, 2014 we lost our sweet Grandpa/ Great Grandpa James Dale Hobbs. He lived an amazing full life and at 83 years old was diagnosed with acute Leukemia. He fought hard for a few months and then his body just couldn't handle anymore. We know he is in a wonderful place now and free from pain and suffering and is now reunited with our sweet uncle Jeremy and Grandma Zola.
It was a beautiful memorial service and a wonderful day reuniting with many cousins and loved ones all there to honor and celebrate the life of such a wonderful man. I had the honor of singing "How Great Thou Art" (per Grandpa's request) at the memorial service. The spirit was strong and we know Grandpa was happy. We love and miss you tons Grandpa Hobbs!

PINK OUT DAY!

October was Breast Cancer Awareness month and the kids' school held a 'PINK OUT' day to show their support. My kids thought it was a blast to dress in pink and spray their hair pink!!
